well it’s about that time…time for an update to the website!! yes, you heard right – mpresscards.com is getting a facelift and i’ve never been more inspired than now!! it’s going to take awhile to get it exactly how i want it, but i plan on having my 2010 holiday card collection as the first thing to be updated!

happy tuesday all! i know it’s the end of september, but it’s NEVER too early to start taking family photos for this years holiday cards!

today i’m featuring photos taken by my wonderful boyfriend, aric, who just started aric holmes photography {blog coming soon}! when we were in norman over labor day, we stopped by the tontz residence and aric took photos of their 3 adorable children: ellis, jeremiah + scarlett, as well as their labrador jessie.

jcrew has always had fantastic ad campaigns. and when they started designing kids clothes, i knew their creativity would flourish. check out how adorable these kids are – and these clothes!! this has been some inspiration for me for this year’s holiday cards!

i’ve finally gotten around to ordering an accent chair for our living room! and i’m so excited. my mom found this adorable white chair online and she’s going to make me a pillow out of the adorable pink fabric featured below! {isnt’ that pink patten wonderful? i’m loving bold modern designs these days, and i’ve been using them for invitations!} i can not wait until it ties the room together!

here is a picture of the chair in an entryway – i wish this was my entryway!

engagement party invitations

these were a blast to create! i had free reign to create an invitation for an engagement party at a swanky bar in brooklyn called camp. my client wanted a bit of earthy mixed with elegant. my inspiration was the interior of camp:

this weekend starts my favorite holiday – college football!!! i love everything about game days: waking up and watching kirk & lee on espn, putting on my OU tshirt, making delicious football food and watching numerous games ALL DAY!! oh and we can’t forget putting “boomer sooner” on the ipod at 8am, cranked as loud as our stereo system will go!!

this year, i thought i would offer my readers a FREE, that’s right people, i said FREE downloadable OU football schedule! i made three different designs for you to print out and put on your refrigerator, your desk, or save it as your desktop background!

if OU, sadly, isn’t your favorite team – let me know and i’ll create a schedule for you! boomer!

happy wednesday all! i’m in the midst of designing this year’s holiday cards! yup – i know it’s only the first of september but one must be prepared!! i love the holidays and i’m so excited to start some new designs for 2010! here’s a little inspiration i’m having lately…

one cannot go through the holiday without looking at anthropologie’s window displays. they are sheer heaven and i envy the person who has that job!

i’m loving these vintage ideas as well…

and last but not least, how can one forget the j.crew holiday catalog!

i’m hoping to get my cards done by the end of the month and up on the website, as well as here!! don’t forget to take a family photo in time for your holiday card!!
